Olikor Privacy Policy
Effective 23 September 2026 · Last updated 23 September 2026
The short version. Olikor has no accounts and no server of its own. What you listen to, what you subscribe to and where you got to in an episode stay on your device. Two outside services receive anything at all: a crash reporter you can switch off, and the service that tells the app whether your subscription is active.
This policy covers the Olikor Android application (package
com.olikor.app, “the App”), distributed on Google Play.
There is no account
Olikor has no sign-up, no sign-in and no user profile. We never ask for your name or email address, and there is no Olikor account to create, log into or delete. Nothing you do in the App is associated with an identity we hold.
What stays on your device
The App keeps its data in a database in its own private storage. That includes your subscribed podcasts and their episodes, your playlists and the rules that build them, bookmarks, playback positions, listening history, downloaded audio files and your settings.
None of it is uploaded. Olikor operates no server, and the App contains no code that sends your listening activity anywhere.
Where the App connects
The App makes network requests to:
- Podcast feeds, audio files and artwork — fetched directly from whichever servers host the shows you subscribe to. Those servers see the request, as they would for any podcast player.
- Podcast search — when you search for a show, the words
you type are sent to Apple’s iTunes Search API
(
itunes.apple.com) and togpodder.netto look up matches. Searching is the only time a search term leaves the device. - Google Play — for subscription purchases.
The developer has no visibility into requests to podcast hosts, and those hosts have their own privacy policies.
Crash reports, which you can turn off
The App uses Sentry to report crashes and errors, so that faults can be found and fixed. A report may include the error and its stack trace along with device and app details such as the model, operating system version and App version. It does not include your podcasts, playlists or listening history.
Settings contains a “Send Crash Reports” switch. Turn it off and the App stops sending reports — they are discarded before leaving the device rather than merely hidden. Sentry processes this data on the developer’s behalf under its own privacy policy.
Subscriptions
Olikor offers a free tier and a paid subscription. All payments are handled by Google Play — the App never sees or stores your card details.
Entitlements are managed through RevenueCat, which records whether a subscription is active so the App knows what to unlock. The App identifies you to RevenueCat only by an anonymous identifier it generates; no email address or name is sent, because the App does not have one. RevenueCat’s handling is covered by its own privacy policy.
Private feed credentials
If you add a podcast feed that requires a username and password, those credentials are stored in the device’s encrypted secure storage (the Android Keystore-backed store) and sent only to that feed’s own server when fetching it. They are deliberately excluded when you export your subscriptions, so an exported file never contains them.
What the App does not do
- No analytics or usage-tracking SDK is included, and no usage data is collected.
- No advertising SDK is included, and no advertising identifier is read.
- Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.
- No profile is built about you, because there is no account to attach one to.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the App removes everything it has stored, including downloads and your listening history. Because there is no account and no server, there is no copy elsewhere to request the deletion of. Crash reports already sent to Sentry can be deleted on request — see Contact below.
Retention
Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the App. Crash reports are retained by Sentry under its standard retention period. Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat and Google Play for as long as they need them to administer the subscription.
Security
The App’s data sits in Android’s per-application private storage, which the operating system isolates from other apps, and feed credentials additionally use the platform’s encrypted secure storage. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but there is no central store of user data to breach, because there is no central store at all.
Children
Olikor is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Podcast content comes from third-party feeds and is not rated or curated by us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App’s Google Play listing.
